Post round interview wtih Camilo Villegas, PGA TOUR

PGA TOUR Today host Win McMurry joined the PGA TOUR in January 2008 as an Associate Producer and On-Air Talent. Golf has been part of her life since she was young. In fact, her family almost moved to Pinehurst, NC when she was a child. Instead, McMurry grew up in the coastal town of Wilmington, NC where she was on her high school golf team (though laughs at the fact since she was not a starting player!).

She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. McMurry has a second major in Communication Studies. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Business from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC.

McMurry joins the TOUR from CBS Sports and WCBS-TV in New York City. Her former assignments with CBS took her to destinations across North America as a production assistant for the network's extensive coverage of the PGA TOUR. She worked on the course for the first-ever broadcast of the FedExCup Playoffs at The Barclays as well as the PGA Championship, the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, and many other PGA TOUR Tournaments working with broadcast icon Jim Nantz and CBS' golf commentary team.

When not on the road with CBS, McMurry worked for two years in Manhattan as a field producer covering daily news and sporting events both in the field and in the newsroom for WCBS-TV and for CBS Sports. In addition to hailing a taxi cab weekdays well before dawn to report for the 5 a.m. morning show, McMurry also worked weekends as a researcher for NFL Today and CBS' live coverage of NCAA Football and Basketball.

As a Tar Heel, her favorite time of year is March Madness. In 2007 McMurry worked on-site for the NCAA Basketball Tournement in the East Region. She considers it one of her most prized assignments to date.

While at UNC, McMurry was a sports reporter and covered the North Carolina men's soccer team and the 2004 student Olympians who competed in Athens, Greece. A water sports fanatic, McMurry also conducted extensive resarch for her thesis regarding the evolution of women's surfing. Her professors as well as the Dean of the Journalism School took notice of her strong ability and dedication and the University honored her with the Floyd S. Alford, Jr. Scholarship for demonstrating outstanding journalistic talent and a commitment to improving the community through honest and accurate reporting.

While in college, McMurry worked for MTV Networks in NYC. She also has experience working for public relations firms in New York City including DeVries Public Relations, Formula PR and 225 PR, where she promoted a range of clients from sports and entertainment brands to lifestyle and fashion icons.

Free time for McMurry is filled following the college teams of the Atlantic Coast Conference, playing tennis and golf, dancing and enjoying live music. Travel is also an interest, as she sports passport stamps from New Zealand, French Polynesia, The People's Republic of China, Argentina, Chile, Uraguay, Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Cech Republic, Austria, Germany, Italy and Spain. Win presently resides in the Ponte Vedra, FL area.
